Allied Titanium Gammon Iron Plate for 1982 Mao Ta 36' Cutter (Port Side), Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V) Titanium with Polished Finish |
This Gammon Iron is manufactured from Grade 5 TRUE TITANIUM(TM). Known as the workhorse of the aerospace industry, 6Al-4V (Grade 5) titanium has proven itself worthy to serve on everything from space shuttles to lunar rovers.
Now, Grade 5 titanium is available to serve on your vessel as a Gammon Iron. Completely corrosion free at sea and three and a half times stronger than stainless steel, it will remain solid for the remainder of your vessel's lifetime and then some. As an added bonus, titanium weighs 44% less then stainless steel. If safety, endurance and fuel savings in the form of reduced weight are important to you, then you have found the right piece of equipment for your vessel.
TRUE TITANIUM(TM) is a trademark to establish that this product is manufactured from solid Titanium, rather than a coating, plating or color. TRUE TITANIUM, Tough-Ti, the AT Logo, the Ring around our high strength screws, LOOK FOR THE RING, AFFORDABLE TITANIUM NOW and ALLIED TITANIUM are all trademarks of Allied Titanium, Inc. |
