Socket head screws have a cylindrical head with vertical parallel sides and hex drives that are recessed into the head for use with an Allen wrench. They are often used in place of a hex head bolt when access with a regular wrench becomes too difficult.
These socket head screws are TRUE TITANIUM(TM), specifically Grade 5 (6Al-4V) titanium. Like platinum and gold, titanium is an element near the top of the galvanic scale and its resistance to corrosion of all kinds is legendary. Its position on the galvanic scale is one of the reasons engineers specify titanium for use with carbon fiber.
